It’s the whole picture: Hibiskus Health

As I was working on this mask - which is currently being worked through several rounds of formulation (where I test it for things like scent, consistency, efficacy and more) - I was thinking about the bigger picture of this whole project. And while a skin care line is at the heart of things, I think the more important conversation when it comes to caring for your skin is actually your overall health and well being. When you’re skin is glowing - a big portion of that is based on what’s going on in your life - overall.

Hibiskus Health

The whole picture: the seed, the flower bud, the full bloom.

I feel like 2020 really set the phrase self care on fire - for better or worse. But when I set out to create this brand I knew that it was much more than a mask treatment that brightened your skin that smelled like local fruits and flowers. I knew that there was something bigger which was much more holistic at heart: my overall health wellbeing.

Looking at the big picture this is a pretty broad topic because it can include tiny details of the day (adding chlorophyll to a glass of water) to really committing to my mental health and not letting that super snippy coworker bring me down or having a heart to heart with a friend who consistently takes and never gives. Holistic health can mean more Peloton classes and cutting out gluten, refined sugar, dairy and processed foods.

It can mean a walk in nature, a chemical peel, fascia blasting, acupuncture, adaptogens, taking a class in something new, and more. And that’s what I want to cover here! I hope to make some cool, fun videos - some of the content will be super uplifting and then there will be some days that address the real-deal feel all the feelings and go way into the pain points.

Very excited to have you along for the ride!
